Mat Trautt: [00:01:07] We basically gave all of our approvals and why anywhere from a point to two point three of Robbins to the outside of our payroll. And the reason we did this is using the inside actually create the very heart. So you have to really understand what strain Arauz and you are using to use it on the inside and the amount that you can actually use the site.

Dan Humiston: [00:01:38] From an MJBulls Media. It's the Raising Cannabis Capital show.Dan Humiston and every week during the global Covid 19 pandemic. We're going to share a feel good story about a Cannabis entrepreneur whose company is succeeding.Cannabis in Corona, we have another Cannabis entrepreneur whose company is gaining momentum during the Cauvin 19 crisis.

Dan Humiston: [00:02:13] Matt Trautt from Classics. Matt, welcome to the show.

Mat Trautt: [00:02:17] Thank you, Dan. Thanks for having me.

Dan Humiston: [00:02:19] Well, I was as I prepared for the show and learning about your company, I got to say I went from being curious to being interested to being completely sold. And yet, here you are. I mean, the brand is great. And I thought today, you know, what a good wave to take our audience kind of through that same journey. So I want to start off with what made me curious and that you create Prix rules that contain Rozin before you too deep into it. Let's start off by explaining to our listeners, I spent a lot of our new listeners what Rozin is and what are the benefits.

Mat Trautt: [00:02:56] Absolutely no problem. So rather than to me, is a solvent free extract. And what it is, it's actually pretty basic. It comes from heat and pressure. What it does is it really captures the essence of the plant. So you get your Turpie into all your cannabinoids, everything in your extract. There's a lot of other extracts out there that only capture Delta nine THC content, things like that, you know, in my background of smoking cannabis. It's all about the trappings and that's what I wanted to capture.

Dan Humiston: [00:03:28] So it's a combination of pressure and heat. Correct.

Mat Trautt: [00:03:32] heat and timing. Every plant squishes at different yield, which is a different color at it all, depending on your heat, pressure and timing.

Dan Humiston: [00:03:42] Okay, so now combine that Rozin with a pre roll. Walk us through the process.

Mat Trautt: [00:03:49] Yeah, absolutely. So basically what we do is cultivate flower and it's all high in indoor.

Mat Trautt: [00:03:55] The reason why we use high quality indoor is basically to capture that Turpin profile as well as potency to match well with our Rozz. And so what we've done is we've created a Rozin infused tree roll and two different sizes. The reason we went towards the Rosalind's repairable was for on the go Rozz and consumers are thinking of concerts, walking your dog. Anything like that. You don't have to consume Rozin with some sort of mechanism like a dab rag or any kind of smelting device.

Dan Humiston: [00:04:31] Okay, that makes a lot of sense. Do you have a great video on your website of how they set on how you do this? Just for our listeners, quick brief overview. How do you actually get the Rozin into the pre roll?

Mat Trautt: [00:04:43] So right now we're actually coating the outside of the Rozin. And so we basically create all of our previous bubbles and then we hand fly anywhere from a point to two point three of Rosin's to the outside of our payroll. And the reason we did this is infusing the inci actually create the very harsh hit. So you have to really understand what strain Araz and you are using to use it on the inside and the amount that you can actually infuse the inside. So I went with coating the and on the outside and then coating it with a mixture of chief. And finally, great flower. And the reason that we put it on the outside, the Rosin's will not drip down the payroll and the flower actually holds it, which is like a tarantula fact that allows it to slowly roll with the ash.

Dan Humiston: [00:05:34] And it is so cool. And this is just through trial and error is how you figured that out.

Mat Trautt: [00:05:39] A lot of trial and error and a lot of R&D.

Dan Humiston: [00:05:42] I mean, what's so cool about this is that you essentially created a whole new product category. I mean, and that's what moved me from being curious to be an interstate is that no one else is doing this. It's a big demand already for it. It's so cool. Absolutely. Thank you. You're selling it right now through dispensaries.

Dan Humiston: [00:06:01] Is that the plan is to just keep adding more dispensaries to your network to expand your reach?

Mat Trautt: [00:06:06] Yeah, absolutely. So we're a San Diego based company. We've been here forever. So our plan to expand is through San Diego County, into the Southern California dispensaries, through dispensaries that we've worked with for the past three years.

Mat Trautt: [00:06:19] And then we want to pick our top qualified distributors that can represent our brand, because a lot of it is, yes, the products are basic, but our brand and our vision and our goals need to match our distributors. So we're looking for distributors in L.A. and Northern California that can represent our brand. And as long as our product, our expansion into Northern California is about maybe a year away for a classic's to have their facility there as well as in San Diego.

Mat Trautt: [00:06:48] So we're looking for partners, basically just for distribution and for the Northern California market.

Dan Humiston: [00:06:55] Pointing a quick break to let you listen to a preview of the next episode of Raising Cannabis Capital, our overall general mission is to mitigate somebodies adverse events.

Len May: [00:07:08] So make sure that somebody can avoid an adverse event. So there's a pothole in the road. We're going to tell you that there is a possibility of potholed road. Don't step in it. So by avoiding those, we can suggest to somebody that they can have an optimal experience with Cannabis trying to Raising Cannabis Capital on Sunday to hear Lend Me from and Keanna.

Dan Humiston: [00:07:29] Now, let's get back to today's show.

Dan Humiston: [00:07:34] I'll tell you, I've had a lot of just over the years, a lot of companies, but I don't think I've seen many companies as well branded as classics, everything from the way you spell your name c al s i c s to that to the artwork and find on your Web site and your packaging.

Dan Humiston: [00:07:52] It's just so tight. It is all consistent with the brand, you know, and that's what really sold me on your company.

Mat Trautt: [00:07:59] Absolutely. They. The vision and the dream that I've had partner with my longtime friend Bebe Busteed as a street artist, and his vision with my branding really came to life. And what really brought life to that in our industry was burning with Trippy Dana with a famous photographer out of Southern California. She had a specific way that she does or photos that somehow matters with our brand seamlessly. And it came together better than I could even imagined with my partners on the Heights.

Mat Trautt: [00:08:29] It's so well done. It's so like I said before, if you like this, you will love it. If you don't like it, then that's OK. But if you like this, you will love the artwork on this brand because it's just so consistent, so consistent. You know, we can't have an interview without talking about Colvard 19 and how is it impacting your business?

Mat Trautt: [00:08:49] So covid been really difficult for us. We had to sit down at the group side out of the four who were launching this brand basically right at the very beginning of the 90s. And we were lucky enough to partner with Mankinds spent three in San Diego and create a pop up store. And our vision on this pop up store was we're going through Koven 19 and we're also all at home. Watch a show called Joe Exotic. So we decided to make a pop up store because you're standing in a six foot line, you walk through one lobby, you only there for about seven seconds, and then you shop and you've got an armchair thought was how do we bring light to what's going on in those six seconds you're in that lobby. So we completely transform the lobby into a pop ups or, you know, we call it. I survived 20 to 40 with classics. And then there's a place you can take a picture with Paper Tiger that looks like Joe Exotic. And it also has, you know, it survives on its body with the toilet paper roll that there's little kind of things of what we're going through. We made a lot of swag, T-shirts, coffee mugs, things like that, tote bags. So in a year from now, you can just remember what was going on, that we could be a part of what happened in twenty.

Dan Humiston: [00:10:09] That's awesome. That's I mean, it's not the best time for most businesses to launch, but I don't think it's affected you guys. I mean, it's like from what I understand, things are going very well as far as expansion goes moving forward, even though we're in the shadow of the Corona.

Mat Trautt: [00:10:27] What are you plants?

Mat Trautt: [00:10:28] So the expansion for the brand is to get across California, bring. Well, we believe a beautiful lifestyle brand across and get out there, clothing brands that people want to wear alongside with it. And another expansion is we're really investing and helping other Cannabis companies with our white label services to be able to create double hash and free wells for them so they can expand their operations into our territories as well. I think bringing Northern California and Southern California together and helping each other out is going to be a part of our expansion and really focusing on our product, our brand and supporting this industry with our white legal services.

Dan Humiston: [00:11:10] Well, I think developing this product category, whether it's through your brand or white labeling for somebody else. I mean, it just is a no brainer. It's just a no brainer. And we have all of math and classics, information in the show, notes and MJBulls.com. So if anybody wants to know more about this, you can just reach out to Matt Rachlin said this is a good brand. Everything about it. Supertight, you you a brand new product category.

Mat Trautt: [00:11:37] I would like to say it states to are like Robin jars that are going to be coming out here in about four to six weeks. And the new artwork from TV and photography, some chip data. We're really going to try to hit the market and shown some you above and beyond what we're already doing.

Dan Humiston: [00:11:52] Oh, well, I'll look forward to it. Please send it to me too, so I can make sure we have it on our Web site.

Dan Humiston: [00:11:57] Matt, thanks for being on the show today.

Mat Trautt: [00:11:59] Absolutely. Thank you, Dad. I appreciate time.
